Beatrixstraat te Den Helder.

The striking Paddenstoel “Het Warenhuys” building – a project by Helder Vastgoed BV, located on the bustling Beatrixstraat in the heart of our city, Den Helder. This project involves the development of 36 apartments and a commercial property on the ground floor. A design by the Rotterdam architectural firm Happel, Cornelisse, Verhoeven, in which cold concrete gives way to warm bricks and bold masonry. The former V&D building is becoming a contemporary eye-catcher, focusing on space, light, and a new look for the city. The first and largest phase is scheduled for completion at the end of 2026. Terrazzo Cominotto was chosen for the staircases and entrance halls in the colors blawhi (left) and grebi (right).
